SOVODEG exists to address the critical need for sustainable development and community-driven initiatives in the Southern Volta region of Ghana. The region’s diverse ecosystems, including coastal, riparian, and savanna environments, are vital for environmental health and resilience. By promoting equitable economic opportunities and supporting local initiatives, SOVODEG aims to enhance livelihoods and ensure sustainable growth in Southern Volta. Our mission is to empower communities through sustainable projects, fostering a balanced relationship between economic development and environmental stewardship.

Our biodiversity conservation initiatives aim to preserve the rich flora and fauna of the coastal, riparian, and savannah landscapes, ensuring ecological balance for future generations.
We prioritize gender equity, women’s empowerment, and youth development, recognizing their central role in driving social and economic transformation. By fostering local community development, SOVODEG supports initiatives that enhance well-being, promote sustainable livelihoods, and build resilient societies.
