the statistics

The Southern Volta of Ghana is a region rich in cultural heritage, natural resources, and socio-economic diversity. Its population reflects the broader characteristics of the Volta Region, with a predominantly rural demographic (approximately 73%), though urbanization is gradually increasing in areas like Keta, Sogakofe and Aflao. The region is home to a young population, with a significant proportion aged 0-14 years, characteristic of many developing areas. This youthful demographic presents both opportunities and challenges for development, particularly in education, employment, and healthcare.
