Our Story
SOVODEG (Southern Volta Development Group) is a registered NGO in Ghana, committed to promoting sustainable development and improving livelihoods in the Southern Volta region. We understand the complex challenges and opportunities that come with climate change, biodiversity conservation, marine and coastal restoration, gender equality, and the empowerment of women and youth. Our primary focus areas include policy advocacy, community development, and sustainable tourism.
Our Goal
SOVODEG initiates and supports community-led projects that are environmentally sound, socially just, and economically viable. Our goal is to work towards a future where vital ecosystems are preserved, equitable opportunities thrive, and communities are empowered. We believe in solutions driven by the community and in protecting our environment. Through close collaboration with the people of Southern Volta, we aim to address their challenges and unlock their potential.

Objective of SOVODEG
